New Control Panel Feature - Easy.htaccess Generator

ProperHost is happy to announce that a new feature has been added to our Web Hosting Control Panel, called Easy.htaccess Generator, available in the Web Tools: Elefante Administration Tools menu.
An .htaccess file is commonly used to set certain configuration options for your domain, such as a default index page and redirect pages to a new URL.
With Easy.htaccess Generator you no longer have to manually write these parameters into an .htaccess file.
Through an easy web interface you can:
- Set the default index page
- Add additional MIME types
- Enable IP and username/password authentication
- Enable mod_rewrite features (host authentication, redirection of wrong URLs to another website, redirection by language, and blocking of sites with certain referrer)
- Set custom error pages for error 400, 401, 403, 404 and 500
- Redirect folders/documents to new URL
- Enable Server Side Includes (SSI)
- Enable Hot Link protection (prevent others from direct linking to files in your account)
- Enable PHP in HTML files
Once the .htaccess code has been successfully generated, you can have the file created automatically or just copy-paste the code into your existing file. We hope that this new tool will become useful!
