What is an IP address?

The Internet Protocol address or IP Address is a numerical identifier for a computer (server) connected to the Internet. An IP Address has four numbers separated by dots and is typically a 12-digit number. (e.g. 123.123.123.123)

Do I need a dedicated IP address for my website?

No. Unless you want to enable SSL encryption for your website or for any other purposes that might require a dedicated IP, you won't need one.

How to get a dedicated IP address?

In order to get a dedicated IP address, you must go to the Add Services section of the Control Panel, which can be accessed from the Upgrades in the Control Panel. Purchase the number of IP addresses you need.

Then, a new section called IP Manager will appear in your Control Panel, from where you can request a new IP to use for your domain(s).
